Gold
Rush Money/Bullion Belt - Two elongated doeskin sections, each has several
compartments with cloth edged flaps and glass buttons (1 gone). Two elastic
strips divide the sections. Elastic? Yes, it was invented in the 1820's,
a few decades before this belt was made. Two cloth shoulder straps to ease
the strain of a belt loaded with gold. 3 buckles marked "Patent 1855". Several
pockets show circular outlines where $20 gold were once secreted. The condition is outstanding. Slightest soiling and use. I seriously doubt if you or I will ever have the opportunity to locate another example this fine. (Cat. #13951)...$1,450.00 (1 Available)
