Oak Boxed Traveling Miner's Scales - Top notch set of scales. Dovetail corners. The lid hinges open, an arm in the base rotates up to a hook in the lid to hold it in place. A "sheperd's staff" rod fits into a screw-down clamp. The scales hang from the crook. All brass. Early type velvet lining in base of box. 3 old weights.
