May 10, 1869". Reverse: view of a train running through the country & "...Medal
Series of the U.S. Mint..." Designed by Wm. Barber who designed the Liberty
Head "Barber" coins from 1892-1916. Approx. 130 struck of these in PURE
SILVER. 1 3/4" dia. Shows much use as either a pocket piece or amulet. A
rare medal honoring one of the most far reaching events in U.S. history.
