1876 Patented Saddle Tree - Open center within an elevated ridge around the seat area supposedly to create a more comfortable ride. Covered with yellow varnished cloth & gray suede ridges at upper sides. Included are three original Patent Office tags, a later cert. of authenticity & a photocopy of the patent papers.
