Cody Poster - This Renaissance man was Iowa born as Samuel Franklin
Cowerdy. His early life was probably fictionalized by him to enhance his
wild west persona as a performer. As the years passed he became less involved
with the stage & immersed himself into becoming a true pioneer in manned
& unmanned flight with kites, gliders, airships, etc. He was made an officer
in the British Army. He was truly a man of many talents. This litho poster
was produced for a Western melodrama written by S.F. Cody & introduced to
British audiences on Dec. 5, 1898; entitled "The Klondyke Nugget". It is
linen backed & set in a period frame that has some surface bangs. The poster
