Tray holds U.S. GOLD coins: 60 $10, 40 $5, 50 $3, 40 $2 1/2, 50 $1. "Stat's Tray Pat. Feb. 25. 1890". Below is coin changer. Holds stacks of 1c through Silver $1. Push down the lever & a coin drops in your hand. Only the 1c lever doesn't eject. Side supports are patent & company marked. Unpolished nickel plate over cast iron. Rare with gold tray. (Cat. #17449)

Also, a cup to hold other coins. 4 knobs on upper corners to stack multiple trays. Top stamped "The Staats Tray, Pat'd Feb. 25, 1890". Made for counter top, NOT a refugee from the top of a Staats change machine. Rarely seen for gold coins only. I dare you to fill it! 12 1/2" x 7 3/4" x 2" h.
