A great find. Wooden base & metal clips hold a glass change tray. Inside is an empty Raleigh cigarette box. Maker & patent marked on metal. Housed in the ORIGINAL cardboard box in exc. condition (corners reinforced). Top label describes maker & advantages of using it. Very cool. (Cat. #17485)
Placed on counter for change. Thick glass, REVERSE PAINTED "Three Likeable Sizes, Bayuk...Phillies Cigar..." A border chain design. All in gold, black, red & white. Corner screws hold 4 rubber feet. Some edge glass nicks. 11" x 8". The paint is original and shows little wear.
Wrapped in burlap and metal strapping. Label: "Charlie Witte/Cotton Buyer/Giddings, Texas". 5" H. x 3 1/2" W. x 2 1/2" D. (Cat. #17457)
Qt. cyl. bottle. A gold bordered complete label under glass. Slightly faded "Allens Red Tame Cherry 'Cherry Allen'". Bottle above top of label GONE. Expertly ground down & smoothed. Also, FIVE marked 8 oz. glasses, etched with brand and virtually perfect. A non carbonated soft drink made of cherries and cherry leaves; mfgd. in Fostoria, OH. Had this set put away for years. Pocket type. White celluloid sides marked "Mi Flora, All Clear Havana/ Great North Cigar Co..." German made, 98% plating intact. 2 1/4" L.
Retains most of the original silver paint. A cowboy resembling Buffalo Bill is galloping on his pony. A small hole in his hand once held a wire "rope" that hung over a separate metal cow's neck (cast iron cow not included). Both animals were part of the butcher's rack. 13" x 10 1/2".
